You will be responsible for:                   

  • Providing technical support to our customers   
  • Software and hardware issue diagnosis and remote resolution
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Maintaining internal support tickets
  • Taking responsibility for tickets allocated to you
  • Carrying out software upgrades
  • Carrying out testing of software prior to deployment
  • Working with third parties to rectify issues
  • Setting up and configuring hardware
  • Carrying out product training for new and existing customers
  • Occasional on-site visits to customers

You will need the following skills:

  • Basic working knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Basic working knowledge of general PC use
  • Interest in problem solving
  • Keen to use own initiative to learn
  • Keen to learn both software and hardware
  • Able to work as part of team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Have a reliable means of transport to get to and from office under own steam

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

37 hours per week
