Serenity Garden Rooms is a garden room construction business based in Blidworth.

Overview:

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Software Development Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

The role will mainly include the maintenance of our website and mobile phone app, whilst also managing the network throughout our offices. 

Throughout your apprenticeship you be work closely with our existing team to learn the ropes of our company, so no previous experience is required. 

What will the apprentice be doing?

Responsibilities can include:

  • To perform app and website maintenance
  • Working with a graphic designer to complete any updates/coding
  • Write up bug reports
  • Office Technical support: Taking calls, answering customer enquiries
  • Oversee in-house networks, ensuring laptops are connected and running specific tests
  • Install and monitor all CCTV in and around the factory

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

7 GCSE’s total:

  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSE’s, including Maths, to be C or above

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject. 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

£10,004.80 to £15,000 per annum.

Working week:

Monday- Friday,  

9am - 5pm,  

40hrs a week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Full time employment after the apprenticeship
  • Career progression- Opportunity for future software development; writing a stock/sale and supply inventory for our warehouse team to use when picking and packing orders. you will also get taught how to produce a schematic production software and be able to link existing systems to quantity survey.
