Who you’ll be working for:

Acris Group is a consortium of companies based in Doncaster which provide services to the supply-chain industry; from warehousing and logistics to waste management and commercial products and IoT – we offer are a very diverse range of products and services. 

What’s in it for you:

You will gain experience of managing an existing portfolio of websites and developing new websites and web-based applications. Despite being a national company, we have a small diverse hard-working team with a flat management structure allowing colleagues the freedom to bring new ideas forward and grow with the business. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Building websites using applications such as WordPress and Shopify
  • Working as part of an agile team to create HTML email campaigns for a wide range of clients
  • Design and build web solutions specific to client needs
  • Using testing frameworks to quality check development work
  • Updating security fixes and plugin updates on client’s websites
  • Using content management systems to upload and manage web content
  • Adding new functionality into existing sites
  • Developing projects from scratch to a set of designs and a development specification
  • Using Adobe Suite
  • Integrating API’s
  • SEO
  • Creating content for marketing ad campaigns

You will need the following skills:

  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach to tasks
  • Quick thinker with a keen eye for detail
  • Passionate about coding and web development
  • Self-motivated and can work on own initiative
  • Previous experience with HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL would be beneficial

Working week:

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with a 1-hour lunch. 

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

7 GCSEs total:

  • English GCSE grade D or above
  • Other 6 GCSEs, including Maths, to be C or above

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

Future prospects: 

Acris Group are passionate about apprenticeships and are looking for likeminded individuals who would like to build a career. There will be an opportunity to advance the position into full-time employment, as either a front-end or full-stack developer available on completion of the apprenticeship for the right individual.
