Overview: 

As part of the apprenticeship role, you will enrol on the Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Course and the employer will support you with your continued development both through the formal apprenticeship programme and with further additional external training and professional qualifications as befits the role and your personal goals and ambitions. 

Title / position -- Marketing Apprentice - IT, Cloud & Cyber Security 
Salary -- £20k - £26k per annum, [depending on experience] 
Office Based -- with remote working / some flexibility 

The role is a fantastic opportunity to enter or progress in the world of marketing and would suit someone who is at the early stage of their marketing career and wants the opportunity to kick-start their career in a role with real progression opportunities whilst continuing to learn and develop their skills.

Key parts of the role will be to:

Taking direction from the owners / directors, you will be expected to complete a wide range of marketing responsibilities to help deliver on the marketing strategy, including both creative and administrative tasks with guidance and training provided. 

Over time, and as your learning grows, so will your responsibilities and our expectations of you, but initially you’ll be working on some of the marketing groundwork including: 

General / Basic responsibilities initially will include:

  • Maintaining and posting to company social and digital channels – primarily Linked In
  • Working in HubSpot to create email campaigns
  • Creating blogs and publishing to the company website
  • Monitoring and reporting on activity and engagement across social, HubSpot and other channels
  • Working through email responses from campaigns
  • Completing SEO/PPC/Social Media research tasks
  • Working with 3rd party specialists to deliver on the marketing strategy e.g. PPC/SEO or similar
  • Creating presentations, booklets and other ‘offline’ digital media
  • Data gathering for monthly reporting
  • Research and Analysis tasks
  • Competitor research 

What we are looking for:

Skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Some – but not extensive - experience or knowledge of business-to-business marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal English – you will need to be able to produce literate, well written content suitable for blogs, social, print and other media. Your written English is of paramount importance; grammatical accuracy and the ability to produce well written, readable copy.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong self-organisational and time-keeping skills
  • Basic understanding of the various marketing practices
  • An attention to detail

Beneficial:

  • Familiarity with Photoshop/Illustrator or similar
  • An understanding of website SEO/PPC and similar 
  • Any experience of HubSpot or similar content marketing tools

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • The learner must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:

£20,000 - £26,000 per annum.

Future prospects: 

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
