In this role, you will quickly pick up the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the role and will become a valued member of the team while completing an SCQF Level 6 IT Professional apprenticeship. Illuminate IT has supported numerous past apprentices and provides an excellent environment to learn alongside experts.

The successful applicant will be expected to answer customer queries, log calls in call logging software, assist with 1st line support and to provide assistance to the team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone enquiries and answer customer emails to IT support mailbox
  • Log calls in helpdesk software
  • Check customer backups and log calls for the team if any issues
  • Assist with 1st line IT support
  • Attend sites with other team members and assist when required
  • Archiving old helpdesk systems
  • Undertake any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required

  • A driving licence would be preferred but certainly not essential.

Additional Information:

  • Salary £12,000 per annum
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • Salary will be increased upon completion of apprenticeship.

Future Career Progression:

  • Potential to progress on to Level 8 IT Apprenticeship and further within the business for the right candidate.
