Who you’ll be working for:

Zoro UK Limited was launched as a UK online business in 2020 and falls under the Grainger group (NYSE:GWW), a global industrial supplier. Zoro UK’s focus is to expand Grainger’s UK industrial supplier business both through organic and inorganic growth across online channel.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing automated testing code, tracking and improving coverage
  • Developing and Executing End to End, Integration, Stress, Performance tests
  • Testing new product releases, providing detailed explanations of issues and escalating them
  • Assisting other software engineers with bug identification, reproduction and resolution
  • Defining software quality assurance processes
  • Making test automation tooling choices
  • Proactively interacting with stakeholders to understand requirements and subsequently
  • Translate them into stories with acceptance criteria
  • Performing and executing all functional, data integrity and non functional testing
  • Developing use cases and translate these for usage in automated regression testing
  • Keeping up-to-date with new releases and promptly identify features which could add value to users
  • Identify features which will impact existing processes and require urgent attention
  • Working with the development team troubleshooting issues raised by users to provide prompt resolution

You will need the following skills:

  • Good understanding of automation frameworks
  • Good experience with Cucumber, Selenium and WebDriver
  • BDD experience
  • CI tools - Jenkins or similar
  • Some programming experience with JavaScript
  • Understanding of Agile software development
  • Github or Bitbucket

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider
  • OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
